FED camera, #173898

Rare Russian camera. Why? Due to its serial number. The cameras with numbers from 170000 to 200000 are one of most interesting for collectors. This period is quite mysterious in the FED history. Only one of few thousands of FED's have a serial number from this range. Part of them were assembled in St.Petersbur (with some part of Pioner cameras), other in Siberia. They didn't sell in shops in 1941-48. During this period they were produced, most probably, only for military correspondents, for special devices, and for photo guns.

This camera has lowest serial number (among what we have) for the period mentioned above. Other interesting feature is year of production stamped on the lens flange instead of serial number.

Excellent condition except that rear element of the lens is unglued.
