This is a typical folding sheet film camera from the
1930s. With a folding front that becomes a focusing track. It has
interchangeable sheet metal film holders and a folding rear hood with ground
glass for focusing. It has a waist level viewfinder and a folding sports
finder on the side. Other than the GOMZ symbol on the rear and Cyrillic
marking there is nothing to distinguish this camera from the other folding
sheet film cameras made all over the world during this period. These cameras
are normally found in poor condition and were made from 1930 to 1940. During
the first year of production some cameras had German lenses and shutters.
The case for this camera is a rectangular black leatherette case with room
for the camera and film holders.

I should correct Nathan cited above
(regarding distinguishing this camera from other similar makes). This camera has
it's name clearly embossed at the top leather carrying handle. It says 'Fotokor
#1'.
Anastigmat Ortigoz lens installed (135mm, f/4.5-36). GOMZ shutter #235798.
Shutter speeds are 25, 50, 100, K, D (equivalent to B, T).
