Even better news is that we reward good product ideas. You can get a significant discount or even a free product. Generally, we split products into 3 large categories, and our approach offer depends on this:

Mass market items. We don't work there.
Very special items. No discounts, sorry.
Niche products. This is what we like the most.

Mass market items

These products are intended for thousands of people. For example, a M42x1 lens to Canon EF camera mount adapter. This is a very common combination of old lenses and modern cameras, and any Canon camera owner can buy a bunch of M42 lenses locally for a few dollars.

The problem with the mass market is that items for it are made at large quantities at very low cost. The best offer on such an adapter I saw was $0.64. The irony is that just an aluminium bar piece necessary to cut such an adapter costs about $1. I have no idea how people sell products for less than they cost, but we can't do this. That is why we don't work for the mass market at all.

Very special items

These items are used to solve a task involving a specific setup that will not be built by other people, most probably.

Taking this into account, we don't offer discounts on such products, and they will be made as one-of-a-kind items at a corresponding price. The lowest price for such a single piece is $35 if the item is really small and simple. The most expensive things we made so far were $300 adapters for rare X-ray lenses. Niche products

This means that some people have similar ideas and needs, but they are not numerous. For example, users of modern digital cameras may want to try old Soviet cine lenses. Or microscopists may want to change their microscope setup a bit to use objectives from other brands. We are here to help. And we can make good special offers here.

Actually, it is difficult to predict a market demand of a new adapter, so we don't offer anything guaranteed from the start. In some cases, when we are sure that an idea is valuable, we can offer free-of-charge manufacturing from the very beginning.

But the general guidelines are as follows:

If we suppose that your invented product may have some sales, we'll make 2-3 pieces instead of one.

Once the product is finished, we list it for sale at our store at its fair retail price.

You buy the product as usual, paying its price and shipping cost.

After you receive the item, you can recover up to a 30% discount for your useful feedback (sharing with us your photos, descriptions, and results).

Free items for promoting our business and products.
