This is a Chinese adapter. I guess it is made from brass, and nickel-plated.
The adapter has a lens lock/release mechanism, and overall quality is high.
Due to the adapter is very thin, it has the lens release button on the inside. This means that you cannot remove the lens from the adapter when it is installed on the camera.
