The substage 'ST-11' is purposed for use with polarization microscopes. It serves to move a specimen along two orthogonal axles.
The substage scales allow to determine position with 0.1mm accuracy that makes easy to find marked places again.
Main difference from a 'ST-12' substage (purposed for biological microscopes) is smaller size allowing 360 degrees rotation of a stage.
The substage has a base with alignment pins to mount it onto a microscope stage. There are also rack-and-pinion mechanism for a specimen movement along 2 axles.
It is possible to use standard slides (24x46mm).
