This adapter allows using a camera (film or digital) with a microscope to take high-res pictures of the micro world.
The camera side mount has a very common M42x1 male thread. There are many M42x1 adapters on the market, so you can find one for virtually any camera that allows it physically.
The dovetail part is made with a 50.4 mm max diameter. This corresponds to the optical connection of the American Optics / Reichert Diastar microscope.
