This adapter allows using objectives that have M28x0.75 mount thread on microscopes with M25x0.75 thread.
The M28x0.75 thread appears on a specific range of objectives from several Eastern European and Soviet manufacturers - notably some LOMO and MBI-series objectives - as well as certain industrial inspection objectives. This adapter lets you mount these objectives on any microscope with a standard M25x0.75 nosepiece.
The 7mm thickness places the objective slightly further from the stage, which is typically compatible with standard 160mm mechanical tube length objectives.
