    This adapter allows using microscope objectives with M24x0.75 thread on microscopes with M27x0.75 thread.

    For example, it can be used to facilitate the installation of a Zeiss Epiplan HD objective on the condenser stage of a commercial Leica TCS II SP5 microscope. The low-profile adapter (see the bronze knurling ring) nicely serves this purpose, as can be seen on the photograph.
